The "Why" I'm Feeling So Much Better!

As you know, my husband and I just returned from a trip to Cape May, NJ for his 50th birthday. This type of trip would have been unimaginable even 3 ½ years ago when he and I first met.

People ask me all the time, “What changed? Was there something that Dr. Rowe figured out that made the difference?”

The answer is, of course, YES! A combination of therapies and interventions have given me a quality of life that seemed impossible even a few years ago.

Since I first got sick in 1998 and began seeing Dr. Rowe in 2004, his research into these conditions has helped to figure out more contributing factors that make these illnesses so complex and difficult to treat.

For me, I can say that in the past few years five things have contributed to my improvements in health. Before I share more, I want to be clear that each patient is unique and this is simply what has worked for me.

1.        The discovery of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and the subsequent treatment of it through medications and supplements.

2.        The discovery of Cranial Cervical Instability and the management of this through physical therapy and osteopathic manual therapy.

3.        Testing for reflux in my saphenous veins and ablations in both legs to fix this.

4.        Taking Zyprexa for sleep, which has completely changed my quality of sleep so that I wake up feeling more rested.

5.        The discovery of adenomyosis and a uterine ablation as treatment.

That is a lot of new stuff in a short amount of time! I believe that I would still be quite sick if it weren’t for these new treatments and discoveries, and I owe my newfound health to Dr. Rowe. My health, for many years, seemed like it might not improve, but the combination of Dr. Rowe’s perseverance, determination and research has completely changed the trajectory of my life.

I will spend some time in future blog posts exploring each of these treametns in more detail and more about the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of each item listed.

Blessings,
