Goodbye, Tovah Rose

Last Monday August 4, we said goodbye to our Tovah Rose Blossom of the Valley. It was her time and she went peacefully at the vet. We had enough notice that she was failing to spend a lot of extra time snuggling with her--she was incredibly lethargic and just wanted to be held.

Our house feels way too quiet now.

Tovah joined our family in 2012 when I was still very sick. She was by my side through a lot of very difficult times. She loved to sleep on top of my head in bed and snuggle beside me in the recliner. She loved to move shoes from place to place. She loved the beach and rides in the wheelchair. She loved to hang out on the back of the sofas. Most of all, she loved any place we were.

I'd like to think Tovah joined Ellie this past week as we also marked Ellie's 18th birthday on Thursday August 7. I hope they are together.

Blessings,

Emily
